Glenn Cross was born and raised in the Northwest. In 1983, after 6 years of living in Alaska, he and his family moved back to Washington State. After searching for his call for seven years while owning and operating a dry cleaning business, he felt led to pursue full-time Christian service. He sold his business, and prepared to go to South Africa for work in the mission field. But God had a different idea.
After a series of God-inspired events, Glenn was led to The Center For Sharing, a new faith-based non-profit organization operating right in his community. There, he first developed a program called Compassionate Ministries, which networked supplies to those in need, all over the world. After extensive travel in the developing world in the early 1990’s, God opened Glenn’s eyes to see that something more needed to happen in order to truly liberate the poor and suffering. Servant leadership development, the empowerment of others within communities of support and accountability was where God was leading him to invest himself.
Today Glenn is 180 degrees different than he was 14 years ago in terms of politics and spirituality. God has given him a question for the world: What does God’s kingdom really look like? What would it mean to have God’s will be done on earth as it is in heaven?
Glenn is the father of two grown children. He currently serves as the co-director for The Center For Sharing and loves teaching classes through its servant leadership school, which to date, have been offered up and down the west coast and in Mexico.
