About Douglas Clegg

As a performer, Doug has been singing songs of conscience for the last 30 years. He has been asked to take his multi-instrumental talent to the stage for many different causes, including the United Farm Workers during the grape and lettuce boycotts; rallies for peace, gun control, the homeless, and political candidates; anti-nuclear arms protests; concerts to raise awareness in ending cycles of violence; and gatherings for local and global environmental causes in California, Colorado, and throughout New England.

Douglas has taught music and songwriting for groups in prisons, homeless shelters, and under-served and rural schools. He has served on the boards of various organizations for the education of the homeless, affordable housing, environmental issues, and support of the arts.

Doug has recorded six CD’s, and makes his living performing and teaching music, and in private practice as a massage therapist. His dedication to living simply, to all forms of economic justice, to the cause of peace, and to preserving our planet home is manifest in his day-to-day life.
