Ross and Gloria Kinsler (editors) have a new book published by Orbis Books, entitled "God's Economy: Biblical Studies from Latin America". For the first time in English, Latin American theologians offer a prophetic reading of the Bible. The Kinslers found that "they speak directly and indirectly to the global economic crises that are now so glaringly evident to the whole world. Their primary concern is to examine what the Bible teaches about poverty and oppression, liberation and fullness of life for all God's people. The unavoidable evidence, they find, is that these issues lie at the very core of the biblical message." From the Book
